Beaver users can easily exchange bitcoin to CAD from the Sell Bitcoin tab, when logged in to Beaver. Bitcoin sales are completed within 20-30 minutes.
Any bitcoin sent to your personal Sell Address is exchanged to CAD and sent to you via Interac e-Transfer.
Overview
- Each Beaver user is assigned a unique 'Sell Address'.
- Any bitcoin you send to your Sell Address is exchanged to CAD and sent to you via Interac e-Transfer.
- The email we send the etransfer to is the same email that you used to sign up for Beaver.
- If you do not have autodepost enabled, the security answer to receive your Interac etransfer is the same as your unique memo code used to send Beaver etransfers when purchasing Bitcoin. The answer is also emailed to you for convenience once we have received your bitcoin.
How to Sell Bitcoin with Beaver
- From your Bitcoin wallet, send the amount of BTC you want to sell to your Sell Address.
- After 20-30 minutes, you'll receive an email from Beaver confirming your sale that includes:
- Your transaction details
- Your security answer to accept and deposit your Interac e-Transfer to your bank account (if autodeposit is not enabled for your email).
Sale complete email notification. Note: Your security answer is included in this email, if required, to accept your etransfer when autodeposit is not enabled for your email.
Right after you will receive an Interac etransfer email from Remit Payment (notify@payments.interac.ca).
- If you have autodeposit enabled for this email your money will automatically be deposited into your bank account and your bitcoin sale is complete.
- If you do not have autodeposit enabled for this email you will have to accept the etransfer by logging in to your online banking through Interac's secure portal, as you normally would to accept an etransfer.
- If autodeposit is not enabled, you will be required to enter your security answer, which is included in the sale complete email you will have already received.
That's it, you've exchanged your bitcoin to CAD and your sale transaction is complete.
The details of your sell can be viewed in your sale confirmation email or in your Transactions feed when logged in to Beaver.
