Once you have a Bitcoin wallet you can generate your first Bitcoin address. Your public Bitcoin address can be used to send and receive bitcoin, similar to an email address. With your wallet software you can generate as many Bitcoin wallet addresses as you want.
When creating your bitcoin wallet you will be prompted to backup your wallet using a 12 or 24 word seed phrase. It is important to write your your seed phrase on paper and store it in a secure place, as anyone who can access the seed can access your bitcoin. Do not take a photo of your Bitcoin seed phrase or try to store it digitally.
